Annual Report

Your membership in the Sandwich Town Hall Preservation Trust helps to support the stewardship of our historic 1834 Town Hall and to perpetuate it as a major cultural, functional, and historic asset of Sandwich. In simple terms, the Trust believes the more the community uses the Hall the more the people will appreciate it as a unique space and the more it will be protected.
To that end, the Trust launched the inaugural season of the Glass Town Stage for the 2015/2016 season. It included the following successful events:
The Annual Sandwich Town Hall Musical Radio Show in September 2015.
The Iron Horse, the first of the 3 part silent film festival in October 2015.
Cotuit on the Road Presents Anthony Teixeira Sings Tony Bennett in November 2015.
Sandwich Soul for the Holidays Special in December 2015.
An Evening of Jazz in January 2016
Think Spring Art Show in partnership with the Sandwich Arts Alliance in March 2016.
The second silent film, Doomsday in April 2016.
Town Hall Preservation Trust Annual Tea in Celebration of Poetry Month in partnership with the Sandwich Arts Alliance in April 2016.
The May Music Fest in partnership with the Sandwich Arts Alliance in May 2016.
The classic musical play, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown in June 2016.
The Wind, the third silent film in the 3 part series in July 2016.
The 4th Sandwich Town Hall Radio Musical in October 2016
Sandwich Soul Christmas Show, a fund raiser for the high school show choir in December 2016.
It was a busy and successful and we hope you were among the many, many who attended the performances. The Sandwich Arts Alliance is now an active community organization in town and look for them to be using Town Hall as a location for many events in the future.
Our Treasurer, Susan Vibberts, has prepared the attached financial statement which gives you a full accounting of the Sandwich Town Hall Trust since its inception in 2011. We thank you for your support which makes it possible for us to continue our mission.
